    Toco Team,

I presently have my beloved 2017 Toco. She needs new shoes (tires). I bought the Toco with Firestone P265/65R17 on her. I would like to replace these tires with four BFGOODRICH® All-Terrain T/A KO3 LT275/70R17/E 124/121S RWL. Will I require modifications to her, such as a lift kit or adjustments to the wheel wells. I am counting on my Taco family for this project. As you know, I want the K03 because the bigger tires are kew. I thank you for your help.

    Cheers,

    LiplessSoul

The sidewall height increase is minimal. Some have had to slightly trim mud flaps. E rated is a bit much (heavy and stiff sidewalls) for these little trucks.

I have 265/70/16 K03 "D" range, which is a little below those e rated tires. You will feel it on rough roads and long road trips, gas mileage will drop a couple mpg's, acceleration and braking performance suffers too. They look tuff though.

You could always run bfg trail terrain with white letters or Michelin ltx ms2 with white letters. Both options would ride plusher. Or go with the K03's if you really want them.

I have no Lift-Kit at all. Will the BFGOODRICH® All-Terrain T/A KO3 LT275/70R17/E 124/121S RUB? Has anybody pull the trigger and put these on your Gen.3 and they work great?! Thanks in advance.

E rated tires are overkill and too much tire for these small trucks. E rated tires are primarily for 2500 and above trucks; these small trucks are nowhere near that heavy or capable of carrying/towing anywhere near what those much bigger trucks do. The rough ride and substantial drop in mpg isn't worth it on a daily driver, IMHO.

E rated is not overkill if you plan on wheeling, ha. Sometimes I even see the E rated ones at a lower price than the C rated ones.
