you'll be a lot happier in life if you stop going out of your way to try to find things to be angry about. Dont give shitty dealers you business. I had to drive a bit but I got msrp.

Agreed. I drove 2 hours into another state to get $5k off msrp with very minimal dealer or port added options. Just a spray in bed liner which I wanted and a Tacoma letter insert on the tailgate which I don’t really care for.

Why would you be upset by this, nobody's forcing you to buy it. If they can make the extra profit good for them .Move on find a different dealer with better prices

Even the port add-ons are sketchy. That bag of cables for $70 or so... I have some hifi German made audio cables that didn't amount to that and they are made out of unicorn's blood or something.

$70 for audio cables is not expensive, try $150 a foot, that's what mine cost and they are in no way considered expensive when it comes to higher end audio gear

That's $70 for 4 USB cables. 2 of them specific to Apple.

Yeah, that one is particularly egregious.

SETD jacks it up to $79.

Four cables, two of which won't plug into the truck's USBC ports.

Of the remaining two, only one will really be useful depending on whether your phone is Lightning or USBC.

If someone didn't already have a USBC cable for their phone, there's myriad options for $10 or less on Amazon and elsewhere.

They're USB cables. Not high fidelity analog audio cables.

One each: USBA to Lighting, USBA to USBC, USBC to Lightning, and USBC to USBC.

Well known brand braided versions at two-for-$10 or less all over Amazon.

I think these types of deals are for people who had money fall in their lap. I'm sure the lift is some spacer/drop bracket/body lift garbage. For 17 grand you could get an awesome Total Chaos, Camburg or Icon setup.

This 72k taco might look awesome, to someone that doesn't know what they're looking at. It might even draw someone into the dealership just to check it out cause it's so flashy, then that person ends up looking at/buying a camry or something sensible. Many different angles to view this....

I can buy one. I can buy a few of them. I don't really want one. I want a Porsche, but don't want to spend that much on a vehicle. :p What was this thread about?

I can find pro's and trail hunters for less than 72k. I'm sure OP can too.

It's not like they aren't still making Vetts and Rsptors, and if you can afford the 10k mark wouldn't you have the resources to shop around? It's not like either one just came out with a new trim. I can't recall if it was mark ups of the sticker price on those VW ID buzzes but 110k for one is ridiculous, it's a minivan.

You can easily pay up to $900 for a 3ft usb cable, and that's not even the highest. Companies like AudioQuest who cater to audiophiles as well as many other high end cable manufacturers.

I recall Rav4 Primes going for like 90k, or reading about it. That don't make sense to me when you can get a way less advanced model for what 40 to 50k.

IMHO anyone paying that money today for a 3ft USB cable - carrying a digital signal using cyclic redundancy checks & error correct / retransmission - has been taken for a ride.

Even more so for a cable between their phone and truck.

the thread was about that probable bad ass Tacoma the dealer built to attract attention to the other Tacoma's on his lot.

Well then why is there still ten or more still available on the lot. I know Toyota knows how to sell trucks but I can't help to wonder if Toyota got more Xtracabs on the lot dealerships would not have to build attention rigs for the ramps and rock pits out front. The GMC dealership usually has a ZR2 Colorado, or EV Hummer there. Tesla had about five Cyber Trucks parked in the grass last week.

Are you saying that having xtracabs on the lot will draw in potential buyers? A configuration so popular that Ford and Chevy don't even offer it?
