Thought I'd mention one way to keep a large job going in the direction you want and being able to quickly find necessary specs during the process.

This is using the Freemind 'mindmap' which is pretty old but is/was still available for free and in the Microsoft store as a free app for Windows (not sure if it will work in Windows 11). There are newer (and probably better) ones out there but I had already been playing around it so I used Freemind. Took a few days to learn the commands which are pretty simple, then began to construct the map - this really helped to get the steps solidified.

All of the nodes (colored boxes) can have links to pages in the FSM (you'll need digital the FSM file somewhere on your computer to link to) but if not, you can add text to each node with torque specs and special notes (in the bottom box). Some of the nodes even have links to YouTube videos like Timmy the Toolman's. This can all be exported as an interactive html page to with active links. Click on any one of them and you go to that part of the FSM, or to one of Tim's videos.

This was for my first gen Tacoma 4x4 and it did help surprisingly well to keep track of things.
It obviously makes the job look complicated but just imagine relying on the old noodle
