I'm coming up on my 80k maintenance and I noticed something I haven't before. The factory brake pads has ABC stamped on them. From what I gathered the cricket goes on the inside leading edge. So does that make the driver side the B pad and the passenger side the A pad?o_O

I just did pads and rotors today on a 2019 OR and the wear indicator on the left was the outboard pad and the right side it was inboard pad. Brakes were original.
Being a 4 piston set up with no slides I don’t think it really matters where they go, except that they point down.

Did your oem pads have A B C stamped on them?

No I did not see any but I wasn’t looking. I’ll check out the old pads tomorrow.

Got to finish the hook of the song.

    “A, B, C
    Easy as 1, 2, 3
    Or simple as Do-Re-Mi
    A, B, C, 1, 2, 3, baby, you and me, girl”

The wear indicator goes on the inside leading edge.
As long as that is where it is, the other pads don't matter.

FWIW, This aligns with the A= passenger, B= driver.

But like I said, I'd go off position. I'm not too worried about a "letter".
They are where they are.....inside leading edge.
