    Hello All!

I'm looking for opinions on running boards for my 2023 TRD Pro. While I probably won't be taking it off-road, I still want running boards that look like I would. I'm aiming for something with an aggressive style that complements the overall aesthetic of the truck.

I've listed a few options below and would really appreciate your thoughts on which you think looks best and any firsthand experience you might have with them.

    A. Armordillo FX LED Running Boards
The flashiest option. I do have an LED light bar in the grill, but in Texas, I am not supposed to drive with it on. I do like the LED option on the running boards, though.

    B. Rhino Dominator D6
I like the look of these with the holes, but I am afraid they might be too wide.

    C. Rhino Dominator DSS
This might be a better version of the Dominator. It seems to be narrow.

    D. Rhino Dominator Xtreme
Another version of the Dominator. The step pads are removable.

    E. Greenlane Sliders
I have seen many posts about these. They are aluminum. They come in both a straight and rear kickout (pictured) option.

These are the top 5 on my list. I like each one for different reasons. If anyone has experience with any of these, please feel free to give your two cents. I also hope my post may help others in their search for running boards.

    Thanks in advance!

I don't have a preference. I just need a step for assistance to get in my truck.

20250606_144452.jpg I recommend proper Rock sliders. Cheap steps won't last and any little hit on them will bend them and over time they will go. But that's just my opinion.

I run RCI...much better than the Kraptor steps.

Steelcraft 4" oval nerf bars. Mine are seven years old and look great. Functional and look great with a sexy slight curve at each end.

If you won't be taking it off-road, then just get whatever running boards/steps you like, don't get rock sliders. Rock sliders are typically not the best steps because they are often high up and tight to the rocker panels. I have to consciously step over mine when I get in and out of the truck, as they are at an awkward height with very little foot room to use as a step. 0° sliders that are wider are better as a step, but again, an actual step would be better if that's what it's intended use is. Predator steps are common and look more rugged than normal running boards.

I have greenlane angled with kickout on my pro. Ordered flat non kickout for my parents pro 4runner since mom wants it for more of a step. They get my vote

    none I still have a warranty ;-)
I have the flat RCI rock sliders that you can add the flat tops to make them steps also I didn’t get the flat part ( I just step on the round bar ) but they have saved my doors a few times now and one time I was sitting in my truck when some lady pulled up next to me and slammed her door into my step
Didn’t do a thing to my truck but her door wasn’t as lucky and made me LOL
Ps. Love that color but I wasn’t waiting for 6 months for the color

Shit I found on CL or EBAY that I could screw on.
Look at the NFAB Podium steps. I think they are SS so they won't rust immediately. I 'wheel and have banged them many times. they have not failed me. they have smooth transitions, not like the predator steps. I need to get sliders, but these are so convenient for steps.

I did it with a red pen. By hand one by one, a total pain. The stickers that were available had blue in them so no go there. So far they are holding ok. I wanted the general grabbers with red but not available on AT, so pen was the choice. Looks alright for a season.
