Been getting a loud intermittent squeaking in the front of my truck when I go over bumps. Ive had the truck in to two different mechanics to get it checked out. But - as it usually goes - the loud squeaking subsided when it was time for my appointment. And both mechanics said the front suspension was good. But now the loud squeaking is back and I'm about to leave for Montana from Michigan. It's coming from the front passenger area and I can recreate the squeaking when I stand on the passenger floor board and bounce it. I can also recreate it when I push on the passenger wheel. I'm kind of at a loss - any thoughts/help would be appreciated. I don't really care about the loud squeaking - but don't want some type of failure on my trip. 70k miles on the truck and Kings/Total Chaos setup. No vibration at all and the truck is shooting straight. Just wondering if I should be good to go for my trip or if I should delay and get yet another mechanic to check it out.

Have someone put their hands on everything while you are bouncing to feel where the vibrations are coming from.

I went down a serious rabbit hole researching this squeak issue. I tried almost everything people suggested. Honestly, the more you read, the more frustrating it gets because everyone has a different opinion.

Here’s what I tried (and what didn’t work):

    1. Replaced sway bar bushings – no change.

    2. Swapped front body mount hardware – still squeaked.

    3. Replaced UCA bushings – total pain without the right tool… also didn’t help.
Next on my list was the LCA bushings, but after how much effort the UCA job took, I figured I’d leave that to a shop if the next fix didn’t work.

    4. Replaced the front shock bearings – this did the trick!
Bought the parts from filthymotorsports.com. Install took about 3 hours total for both sides, and honestly, it wasn’t too bad.

1st thing you do is switch out the Kings & Chaos for Bilstein 5100s and stock UCA's.

Closest thing to staying stock with a 2" lift. :smokertransformer:
