    I have read a bunch of posts about this size tire. It seems to often get mixed up with other sizes. I did read the one on this being the "perfect size tire". I was able to get some info out of it and hope I didn't miss a better thread on this.

    I want a wheel that will stuff well. This truck is a DD, but it WILL get wheeled. I plan for it to be full locked with sway bars removed when offroad. Wheels/tires are going to be my first purchase for this new truck. Thinking Methods with BFG ATs...

    Specifically what back space and offset has worked best for you? I have heard some comments on offset that rubbed worse than others. It looks like my options are basically 0, -12, -24ish? 4.5 backspace? I will change UCAs but can you comment on fitment as it relates to them as well and the stuffing without rubbing?

    I fully understand I will need at least a CMC and liner shaping. No fear there...

    Please advise!

    I have methods 17x8.5, ET0/4.75"BS and have 285/75/17s.
    with SPC uppers, I have enough camber adjustment that I can run the tire into the control arm.
    Obviously I'll be adjusting the rest of the camber through the LCA eccentrics if needed (haven't done it yet)
    I wouldn't run any more backspacing than this.

    I clear the upright gussets with these wheels

    @GoodDogRUGER

    I’m in a similar position now, have SPC uppers and wanting a 0 offset wheel with 285/75r17.

    I am curious what wheel offset you went with, or if switching UCA solved your issue.

    I saw another post of yours where you said 0 offset and SPC didn’t work?

    My setup. BFG KO2's 285/75/17 Method 701 Bead grip wheels 17x8.5 0 offset with JD Fab spindle reinforcement and currently JD Fab stock length UCA. I have 3/8"-1/2"max clearance between tire sidewall and spindle. Anything more than a 11.5" section width/overall width tire you will need to go to a negative offset wheel. But you also have to be careful of what the offset and wheel width is. For example Method does the same wheel in a 17x9 with a -12 offset. But that wheel only puts the inner bead about 0.062" out board than the 17x8.5 0 offset. If I was to go to a 12.5" wide tire I would go with a -25 offset on a 17x8.5 wheel.
