I feel like I haven’t seen a ton of examples of actual diy paint matched fender flares vs. just some kind of generic black paint/restorer so thought I would post these. I’d been wanting to do this for a while and am very happy with the results.

All done with rattle cans, I sanded the OG plastic ones a bit to remove some of the texture, then used duplicolor plastic adhesion promoter, primer, duplicolor paint matched rattle can (209 black sand pearl), and finished with a nice 2k clear coat. Cut to 2000 grit and buffed and the finish is nicer than the truck’s paint.

I was really pleased with the color match too, it’s almost identical. I’d been yearning for the paint matched flares which in my opinion make the truck look 10x nicer for all colors. I will probably get the entire truck painted someday and at that point will likely have all the other plastic bits matched as well.
