Do you do custom air brushing or is this all rattle can? I've had a design scheme in my head for a while. I have all the stuff, just never attempted to do it. I'm thinking something wild like what you would see on custom cigarette boat's with a few colors and a waving checkered flag on the back sides. Rather complex and a bit more pricey than your list above.

Something like this on the front and front sides and then checkered flag on the back like the old AE nitro MT trucks. It's for a Tekno MT410. 1/8 scale Pro Line body, likely an F150 Raptor or Chevy C10.

I've dabbled in airbrush but I don't enjoy it, plus the overhead, and labor make me a rattle can guy. I really like doing fade paint jobs, marbeling, and I've done 1 dipped job. I do have some openings as I'm short two bodies that are now back ordered. One of the 2 bodies I'm waiting on is mine and it will be dipped. I'll post it when it's done.

Most of my clients are doing crawling. I've found most like a quick, and inexpensive paint job as they roll them on the rocks, get bored, or they're like me and like to change bodies and colors. I had 5 bodies for 2 rigs at one point. I have cab only, and full body mounts on my VRD so I can switch back and forth.

SOOOOOO HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING..... CUS IM ABSOLUTELY NOT SPENDING MORE MONEY ON A MINI CRALWER......

Are there any reasonably priced chassis kits for the ascent 18 platform that would allow one to utilize the stock transmission/shocks etc that would offer more adjustability and maybe an angled skid?

Also any of you micro crawler guys have any insight on getting more side stability. Any decent smaller 2s/3s lipos?

And finally does anyone have a good line on mini plastic rod ends?

I still had the panzer as I wanted to call about it not just do an automated refund, and before I called I decided to just try it out again. Well, my AAs were the issue with the radio! I swapped different ones in and they worked, and on inspection there was some corrosion on one of the ones I originally had in it. Great news!

Excited about this I pulled the tank out to do a test on it, as is prudent.... well the f**kers that packed it jammed it into the box wonky and broke a headlight off of it. :censored::censored::censored:

Returning this one as well. Maybe I'm just not allowed to own a Nazi war machine. :pout:

My lady and I bought a couple of Ascent 18s. Haven't modified them yet, but
maybe a chassis like this would help?

Heck yeah they are a fun lil truck, tons of free/cheap mods to make them even better have a look at my post below.

I thought about a different chassis but I might play around with a droop suspension setup first, stock chassis keeps things pretty low but you really cant help the battery position of the stock battery as its so big compared to everything.

Just picked up this vintage goodness from a collector in Singapore. The Acto Power Pink is super rare. Both are in impeccable condition for being 30+ years old. Hoping to have time to get back into gear and finish my current TT-02R build. Its been sitting since my 14' STI blew a headgasket, I rebuilt the motor, two weeks later the car was totalled by a stoner on my commute, I bought a truck. I started modding the truck...etc. haha

This is bringing back some memories. Just before I got my first r/c car(Tamiya Frog) I would go to the r/c club with a friend that had a Marui Hunter. One of the guys there had a Tamiya Fox and he put a Technigold motor in it. That thing would haul! Nice find!

My Redcat is so close to have a new body. Install the back metal mesh window, one more coat of matte clear and shes done. Unless someone has interest in a patina Jconcepts Anvil body? I think I may want something different...again!

Redesigned the frame, made it stronger when the dog stepped on it and it snapped clean in half. :rofl:He just looked at me and wagged his tail. Payback for messing with him by driving between his legs.
And went for a short WB. Deadbolt front links spaced 5mm longer, with C-10 front links in the rear. Sitting at 120mm currently. I need to make a different front shaft and I can remove the front link spacers and get that down to 115mm.

It does surprisingly well being so short. Also reversed the dish on the wheels to narrow it up, otherwise it's pretty much square.

    Next to a C-bolt WB.

still rocking the cheap TX/RX combo and it's been working as well as any other.

I decided to take a chance on a listing on AliExpress after I told myself I wanted a new RC helicopter.

this showed up a couple days ago and I’ve yet to fly it, but to say that I’m excited is an understatement!

it’s the FlyWing EC135, a 1/16th scale version of the Airbus product

I flew 3D heli's for several years. It's the most expensive RC hobby there is. One crash and you pretty much buy a whole new air frame to crash again. Electronics are usually reusable, except for maybe the servo's. Generally takes a year of constant practice just to get a mean tail-in hover going. Most quit after a month or less. Setting up a hobby grade bird is a hobby all in itself, never mind the actual flight.
The smaller ones are hardest to learn, bigger birds actually fly quite stable, but crash's are far more expensive.
Curious to hear what you think of it.

Yeah, this one will do 3D and GPS, and everyone who has already reviewed it has said that it flies incredibly well -- so much so that it's suitable for beginners (or for people not used to hobby-grade equipment, like myself).

I'm looking forward to being able to give it input!
