It’s not that simple of a system. Use the search tool, hit “this thread only” and search AC. Should bring up the relevant posts.

There’s a lot to consider with the AC system, I’d give this thread a read on it. If you don’t use some sort of hvac controller, your AC system is going to freeze up, the compressor won’t be cycling on and off depending on evap core temps, if your engine overheats the compressor won’t disengage, if you go wide open throttle, you’re going to overspin your ac compressor. There’s a lot involved, hence why I went the route I did to keep the factory ac controller working.
You’re gonna have a bad day if you lock up an ac compressor for over spinning it, shred your belt, lose your water pump, and melt your engine.

Yes I’m going to use the stock ls ecu that I have running everything else. I just need a 12v signal wire to wire into the ecu telling it that I want ac. I was hoping I could use the stock one to make it look nicer but oh well. I have been using lt1 for all this wiring info. If this doesn’t seam right let me know!

I don’t think the LS ecu takes care of AC. Usually that’s done by a BCM or a dedicated module like in the Tacoma. Besides, the LS ecu has no access to the pressure transducers on the AC refrigerant lines, and no access to the temp sensors in the evap core. So you’d still be running into multiple issues, like freezing the core, running the system with low/empty/too high refrigerant etc.

really the only good solution here is to make the stock Toyota ac controller do its job again. Or roll the windows down

Got some trd pro goodies put on the tundra. Didn’t make a whole lot of sense to buy a pro and immediately rip off everything that makes it a pro, like I did with the third gen taco.

i am not sure what pcm but i was able to make mine work but it asks for alot of things. i had to have a separate hign and low pressure switches. i have to have a arm switch which tell the pcm you want a/c. i am doing mine using a vintage air controller and there is a sensor in there to make sure that condenser doesn't freeze up and a wot switch under the pedal for wide open throttle which disengages the a/c compressor. i also had to set up a three relay hi/low fan sitch to make the fans run. oh and the throtttle posittion motor switch to bump the idle when the compressor is on. my donor was a truck to complicate things. so some of these things i had to turn in a tune program on because the trucks don't have electric fans

Fresh hubs and brakes on the trailer today. Also got the truck to the place I’m doing the gear swap. Was gonna tear into it tonight, but my homie popped a tire deep Offroad in his Tesla, so took it to go rescue him after dropping the truck off

    IMG_5551.jpg

so the tear down will commence tomorrow
