Among the shit ton of renovations we had to do ac/ heating was the first. We took no chances. Furnace needed a rebuild, got a deal on a new central air unit at the same time. 5600.00 for both. ( one of the better deals). Roof, gutters and facia, 11,500.00. 12 Windows and two entry doors. 15,000.00.
Basement waterproofing ( French drain) 10,500.00. To name a few.

Happy Father's Day... my granddaughter is coming here today to spend a week with us, so that makes me very happy! She turns 15 in two months and is growing up so fast... and got all A's in her first high school year. Bravo! Photo is from last year, on the Oceanside pier: [IMG]

    Hoo rah !!
Toughest man on the block was a marine. Served in Korea. He left us between xmass and new years if memory serves. I feel bad for the widow. She loved him dearly. You could sense it.

Good morning. Fathers day was a blast. Cooked up a nice meal and we took care of a lot of tasks associated with the garage.

Today, final sand on the rebuilt garage door wall then the first coat of paint. Might replace the carb on a small roto tiller then list it on Marketplace.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/dads-of-all-ages. I had a pretty quiet Father's Day but did get to talk to my son for a while, which is always a treat. He's a dad too of course, and so he had stuff going on with his family. Everyone is home from college so their house is full!

All this talk about accidents. I guess it's time to tell you all about my wife's incident. Drunk driver came across the center line and hooked her. Totaled her car. Carol is essentially unhurt, no doubt due in large part to the FOUR(!!!!!) airbags that deployed. The towtruck guy virtually guaranteed me it would be totaled just because of that. Worst injury seems to be a loss of hearing -- did you know that a side curtain airbag deployment slams 178 decibels into the side of your head?!? That's a big noise, people. Anyway we feel pretty fortunate that it wasn't a whole lot worse. It easily could have been. The kicker: the guy at fault lives about 6 doors down the road from us!

I sure am glad Carol is okay Dave. It looks like it was a pretty good impact and the airbags did their job .By any chance did she go to the hospital just for a check to make sure everything is okay.
