    Throwback to tree roots clogging up my college crack/rent house. All my housemates were so busy partying and all I wanted to do was take a shit. I snaked that drain at least a hundred times because the landlord refused to repair it and kept blaming it on tampons or wipes.

    Sometimes the landlord would take the full size snake to use at other properties. So I'd use a drill attachment snake with a Dewalt 14.4v drill. I wrote "shit drill" on it with paint pen, because I didn't want to dirty up my milwaukee. I've definitely told this story before, one of those situations where you want to die but have to make it until the lease is up.

    @eon_blue

    Have you been following along with the theories about Air India?

    The most common are engine failure, flaps being up, etc.

    One that makes more sense (regarding the flaps) is that the flaps were initially in the correct position, and when the landing gear was supposed to retract, the landing gear remained and the flaps were instead flipped (by accident).

    Then there's the latest which touches on the ram air turbine that deployed which apparently only occurs with a serious electrical failure, serious hydraulic failure, or dual engine failure.

    I saw one of the videos and the thing that stood out was how quiet the engines were when it passed over. They should be absolutely roaring on takeoff and for a good while after.

    Yet the sound that was (barely) noticeable is that of a prop, which only reinforces the idea that the object seen hanging down just before it crashes is the RAT

    It's supposed to sound like that of a prop plane when it's deployed

    Fuck... that sux. All that time you spent snakeing the drains sounds like billable hours to me.

    That landlord was more of a slumlord than my current landlord.

    Current landlord surprised me today. He is having a plumber come out and swap the 16 year old water heater out that just failed. Plus an hvac company to investigate why the AC condensate line isn’t clogged, but water is still spewing out of the unit and filling up the backup drain pan. Finally I can just let it be someone else’s problem.
