2.7 engine owners I have a question

    On the 2.7 engine did they have VVT (variable valve timing ? Also what oil weight was recommended by the factory ? Any help is appreciated.

    Predator tube steps, Ranch Hand grill guard, Magnaflow CatBack exhaust, Toyota tool box & bed mat, 2LO Module by @Up2NoGood, Rearview Compass/Temp Mirror, Tune by @JustDSM.
    None of the engines found in 1st gen Tacomas including the 2.7L (3RZ-FE) had Variable Valve Timing (VVT), all engines found in 2nd gen (05) and later Tacomas have VVT.

    The 2.7L (2TR-FE) engine found in 2nd and 3rd gen trucks is completely different from the 2.7L (3RZ-FE) in 1st gen trucks.

    5W-30 is the recommended oil viscosity for the 3RZ-FE according to the owners manual.
