San Diego, got a '24 sport premium for $470 a month on 12k miles per year for 36months, well $450 a month with $20 in gap insurance.

 

Definitely. The California market deals have historically been a couple percentage points lower than the rest of the country generally.

This was my first time ever purchasing a new car. Negotiation process was rather simple. Got the adds ons I wanted and avoided purchasing things I did not want. That was the biggest head ache, majority of trucks in my area have $6k in add ons, and most of them had things I didn’t want. Considering the $9k for premium and only $2k in add ons I mostly wanted I’m very pleased(minus protection package & connectivity kit). I’m super excited to join the Tacoma community! Sharing my buying purchases for others.

 

Dealer in washington has a trd off road 5ft dcsb premium package hybrid listed for $3500 off MSRP, should I try for more than that or do you guys think it's unlikely? Just wondering what you've encountered with dealers that already have slight discounts advertised on their vehicles. I'm in alaska and our dealership here is a joke, they won't negotiate because they're the only game in town, and they have terrible inventory. They also dont seem motivated to sell because they wont respond to emails lol.

 

I think you might be able to get more. Ever thought to contact the broker Jim R and see what he can do for you?

You can always ask - sometimes they'll deal further, sometimes they won't. And if you don't walk away at least once you don't have their best answer.

Just be wary.

Some dealers advertise lower than TSRP to get you in the door then reveal a "second sticker" of overpriced add on crap that more than offsets the discount.
