Guessing you’re naming your rig “Hannibal”?

As for the tunes I did something similar.
Mounted a self powered Infinity 8” sub on the back of the cab using some of the factory 6 mm bolt locations and added a few riv nuts. Had a friend weld a piece of 6061 1 x 2 x 24” to a piece of I think .190 6061 aluminum, then had it powder coated. Added sound mat and glued the crap out of a piece of carpet to the back of the cab and bolted it down. A member here found a set of WAY OVER PRICED 6.5” carbon fiber door speakers with soft dome tweets for 1/2 price but I still paid over $350 for the door speakers, it sounds incredible with just an 60w Infinity amp running the door speakers. He also wired and turned the whole system.

Been fighting with a slow/delayed 1-2 shift since inception on this thing and also couldn't get the transmission into true 1st gear with the factory Tacoma floor shifter. I realized I did not like not being able to get into 1st gear to help going down steep hills while at Windrock (irrational fear of brake failure), so I did some upgrading
    • Clayton Machine Works gated 4L60E shifter
    • TransGo HD2 shift kit
    • Corvette Servo
    • New trans filter
    • Adjusted T-case shift linkage to shift into 4Lo smoother
The "Gear Command" from the shift kit allows me to hold 1st gear to any speed or RPM. Overall, the shift kit made this thing shift like it finally should. No complaints at all...

What did you make that flooring out of? Looks good. I'm guessing it's not the OEM vinyl.

aftermarket vinyl from RockAuto. It is trash though, easily the worst fitting vinyl floor I've ever installed. I've been looking for used carpet on marketplace to replace it...

I knew I should have just folded the light gray carpet from my 07 w/ 27k miles and just shipped it to you!

I replaced it with OEM 12 dark gray carpet from the dealer. I tried that aftermarket shit and after fighting with it for over 4 hours I RIPPED that shit out to go to the landfill and ponied up for the factory stuff that dropped in place in less than 2 minutes! Fuck that aftermarket shit!

Damn I even carefully removed the padding and styrofoam from the back with a razor blade. Then used a mix of water & liquid landry on what looked like coffee stains around the cup holder, used a little elbow grease with a scrub brush. Then rinsed with the 3500 psi pressure we have and hung it over a fence to dry. Next day in our 100 degree weather it was dry used 3M spray adhesive to glue the padding back. Took pictures to sell on Facebook marketplace. Shit I couldn’t even give it away. Ended up in the landfill. Oh well I offered and tried. Would have been Ok with some big Weather Tech mats or at least cut down on some of the sound.

On the back of the cab I installed some sound deadening then pulled off that plastic cover that goes right below the rear window. Cut a piece of automotive carpet sprayed the cab and carpet w/ lots of 3M adhesive and worked into place after the glue tacked up. The top under the lip below the window I used 6 small self tapping screws with little fender washers to screw through the carpet to make sure the carpet wouldn’t pull away / down someday down the road.
