Does anyone have any experience with non Toyota bed steps? Toyota is crazy expensive, Amp Research is really pricey and then there are the Amazon & Ebay steps. Those are more affordable but I have to question the product quality. Any feedback on the cheaper ones?

I am wondering the same thing! I am kind of suspicious of the Amazon ones but I am suspecting just crappy hardware.

There are steps on Ebay for around $55. I too am skeptical not so much about the hardware but the quality of the plastic step. I wouldn't want that to fail under load and take a very serious tumble. I'll bet that the knock offs are made in the same factory and rebadged. I would prefer the Amp Research step but the price is way too expensive. I might take a gamble on one of the ones on Amazon because they'll be easier to return if needed.

I wonder if it's possible to fab up an aluminum diamond plate step to replace the plastic one.

I'm considering pulling the trigger for one of the Amazon steps that has a "lifetime" warranty.....

I got mine on Ebay last year. Everything fit fine (no off holes, etc.), and what little I've actually used it, it has worked fine (I'm 250 lbs).

I have a set of Amp Research steps that I’m interested in selling for $750.

They were on the truck when I got it and have worked flawlessly every time a door is opened/closed.

That's a pretty good deal. I just bought a set for my F150 and they were asking for $900!

I think so. It’s just under half price of a new set. I see them for $1,600-$1,800.

I just want to get some $ out of them to put towards sliders. I don’t really use the steps to get in.

I put the Amazon bed step on my 2024 Tacoma. No complaints. Very high quality product.
