Good Thursday morning, friends! Hope the day is good to all of you :hattip:

Started out good over here, stopped and got gas on my way in for $2.69 a gallon and as I was getting in my car the guy was changing the sign to $2.99 :spending:

    True story

I worked at a coupled gas stations (big surprise right) and one day the fuel truck came in and a snafu caused him to have no regular in the truck. Full of high test.
We were out. Called my boss. He talked to the driver. Driver called his boss.
They dumped a load of high test in the reg tank.

    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

So, I started a phone tag with every guy that had a hot rod. Everyone called everyone else. Even people we didn’t like from other towns.
We drained a lot of that tank in one day. There was a line like the fuel ration days.

Best day for the station ever.
    Boss couldn’t understand.
    I just smiled.
    “What did you do?”
“All it took was one phone call” I said.

My in laws owned a store and they would always tell my MIL's parents to fill up when they came by and my inlaws would pay for it. My FIL said it's the only time his FIL ever put high test in the car :rofl::rofl:

About a 4 hour drive down to Chanhassen on Tuesday, another 4 hour drive home yesterday with 4 hours of shopping sprinkled in, and lunch at a pretty good Thai restaurant. Today we're heading about an hour and a half (3 hour round trip) to a park to go paddleboarding. I'd be less busy if I was at work.

Speaking of work, when I'm on vacation I usually check my email twice a day, typically for literally 6 seconds each time just to make sure there's nothing that I'm holding up or if there's anything I can have someone else take care of quickly. 99.9% of the time there's nothing or it can wait. Checked on Tuesday and there were four that I needed to address, all because I forgot to turn on my out of office reply. Guess I've been saving up that 0.1% for a while. :p

And there were THIRTY-TWO emails about a system being down that I don't use but have assisted with so I ended up on the company's email list. The first email was "the system is down". The last email was "the system is working" the other 30 were every 15 minute updates that said, essentially, it's still down. o_O

Happy Juneteenth fellers, I'm at work and floating the holiday to day after Thanksgiving. Got the new dryer in and setup before supper last night. I've got an anniversary coming up and I (semi) jokingly said Happy Anniversary after I got it set up, didn't go over that well.

Happy Thursday all, early in tomorrow at 0245 o_O:(
