Hello, I was just working on a center console mod on my truck last night. I had one rear door open and the driver door open, thus turning on the dome light. After probably 20 minutes the dome light went out and the map lights didn’t work either. Tried moving switch to on off and door and nothing. Replaced fuse and still keeps blowing so a short circuit somewhere. I’ve had these LED bulbs in my last taco and this taco for about 5 months and everything’s been fine until this point. Inspected all bulbs and just fine there. Any advice/help? Thanks!

I'd remove the LED bulbs first and see if it still blows just to rule those out.

You said you were woking on the center console, what exactly were you doing when they went out?

    It was working.
    I did something.
    Now it doesn't work.

Undo whatever you were doing in the center console.

I assume you mean the 7.5 ampere Dome Fuse is blowing.

    This fuse powers these loads:
    Clock
    Interior Light
    Wireless Door Lock Control

    The circuit is as such:

Battery >> * Short Pin >> 7.5 Amp Dome Fuse >> Clock, Interior Lights and Wireless Door Lock Control.

    * Short Pin is not a fuse it is just a shorting device link.

Remove the leds, and try with nothing in it? Or do you mean put the incandescent ones back in?

I was just taping this organizer into the center console, but when it went out I was standing outside.

Just pull them out, if the short clears you just need some new bulbs if not then something shorted on the Dome fuse circuit.

Alrighty well just tested the new fuse in with the leds taken out and surely enough the fuse isn’t blowing anymore. Looks like I’m gonna buy the meso custom ones instead of the cheap Amazon leds. Thanks guys!!!
