    I stayed in the one in San Diego, right on Broadway.
    Very cheap and Spartan, and nothing weird about it.
    Lotsa squids and working girls all over downtown.
    A real Navy town, of course.

    That was in the Summer of '73, when a buddy and I had our cross country adventure.
    We hitched, rode freight trains, a Trailways bus once between Grand Lake CO, and Salt Lake City, etc.
    We crashed in all sorts of places.
    Right next to the interstate where we got dumped off, on strangers' floors, in youth hostels...
    We experienced so much kindness on that adventure.
    Say what you want about this country but it's absolutely # 1 :thumbsup:

    God, I’ve done pretty much nothing with today. Went spend a little time with my son. But otherwise, VERY unproductive. It has rained off and on most of the day… just enough that you really can’t do much outside. Could have even gone to the range (got 3 cans (30cal) of range ammo full of 9mm (.20₵/rd) I could have popped into). :annoyed:
    I am determined to cook some gater and chorizo…
