Kids are great, glad mine are grown and gone and doing better than I did at that age.
Two marriages, two un-marriages, it's just me and the dog. About to hit 58, It's Brett time.:burp:
One quick job this morning, then 4 hours of trimming and shredding two plum trees that had grown over the fence into the neighbors yard from the last month of rain. Home ownership can suck sometimes.
Time for lunch then a scooter ride. :bikewheelie2:

I did the house thing and now have been renting twice as long as I've had the house. sometimes I miss the house but not the location.

I mostly miss it being worth almost 70k more than I sold it for.. but I spose ive offset that with cheap rent for 9 years and no property taxes lol

My plums are going nuts too, I with the other stuff did as well as those stupid trees. I'll get like 8 cherries but 6000 plums

That is for real, the ground is covered with plums right now. Squirrels get most of them.
There is a guy in the hood who picks them every year and brings me a jar of plum jam, so I got that going for me.

also no property tax with rent? damn i wish! i gotta fight to get my payment back down 300 bucks because of that bs jackson county did out here...

Rear tire for the Klx showed up yesterday. The front should be here today. I love new tires. They feel so soft and sticky.

I get all this. Left home at 18 never looked back, joined military. Bounced around, carving a career, kid later w/ needs. So that’s tapped my wallet. Still just LIVIN lol best I can

100° for the next two days, a dry heat, but hot as hell none the less. Only hit 92° today.
Wearing the Wicked Stock mesh jacket and it's not bad as long as you're moving.

Filled up before my ride, had 75 miles on the trip odo and took 1.1 gallons of gas. So it's consistent. I can't help but wonder if the mileage is running fast like the speedo is, and therefore not quite accurate. Seems pretty high. I'll have to do a ride and record mileage with the GPS and see how they compare.

I have an Amazon mesh jacket and I’ve retired it to offroad only, it doesn’t feel like it would do much in any kind of accident

I wear a vented textile hoodie icon air form now
