Garmin forerunner 45 is my daily.
Garmin forerunner 245 died after 4 years of service.

I have a nice citizen quartz watch from my dad, I only wear that on special occasions because I can’t keep a battery alive more than 2 months if I wear it daily.

Another dressy watch I have is a Fossil automatic charging watch. This one was a gift from my wife on our wedding day.

Eight year old wanted a watch after I got his older sister the GShock. Dug up this old Timex from maybe 15 years ago when I was a night shift cop. Popped in a new battery and went to Amazon for new straps and we're in business.

Shit, you’re probably right, I didn’t even make that connection. I had just seen a bunch of replicas that were done to look identical while being cheap for that price and assumed it was one of those. Looks like I’m the ass in assume.

correct, it was made in 2022. I bought it from bobswatches.com
They said to send it back so they can take a look and that it's not the kind of service they strive for. they want to figure out how it passed QC. I'm just annoyed because I spent the money and I want to enjoy the watch!

Keep us posted! I certainly dont want to worry you, but I havent heard many good things about Bobs watches. I hope they address this rapidly.

I almost bought a watch from a bobs, ended up using Watchmaxx. Interested how they will treat this.

the guy from Bob's is stumped. He said he could wind it just fine and it ran fine. Then the next day it was not running, and there was nothing he could do to get it to run. He's sending it to their watchmaker.

what are the good places to buy pre owned? I'm not sure I still want this particular watch with how much of a problem it has right now.

This is why I have always purchased from an AD. The extra cost is worth it in warranty and service. If anything, I would try and find a local reputable place that has good reviews and services.

July 14th and I finally got my watch back today. They didn't say and I have yet to ask what needed to be repaired. Everything looks and works great. I was mad when it stopped working on the fourth day and I was upset that I spent the money and had to send it back right away. Over the weeks I kind of forgot about it though, and opening the box today was a thrill.

the guy from Bob's Watches said the watchmaker didn't give a breakdown of the issues other than problems with the automatic system. He completely overhauled the watch. I'm thinking it should be as good as new now?

While that watch was gone I picked up a couple of Seiko's. The one with the blue face and some of the clear film still on it was purchased with "Appreciation Points" that I accumulated at work. The green face is a Seiko SRPD63. I'm pretty impressed with it and the affordable price.
