    To be honest putting plastic fans on vehicles is stupid. It is a major cooling component and should be made of metal. Like they did back in the early days. I know they do it for weight saving but some things do not need to be changed.

    Did you know they even make major pistol parts out of plastic now?

    Modern plastics [or nylon] can be pretty damn tough and unlike metal, plastic can mitigate damage if it breaks, a metal blade could have done more serious damage.
