I know there is a significant amount of expertise on these forums and I did several hours of searching and can’t find the answer to my specific concerns only bits and pieces. So I thought I would ask directly for some guidance.

    Context:
Earlier this year I got a 2009 prerunner with a double cab with 130,000 miles on it. Most of my driving will be local/highway with some light forays through agricultural land. My other car is a JCW Mini Cooper, so I’m pretty used to feeling every bump in the road.

With that in mind I put some 265/75/16’s on it. I also read on here the appeal of 3rd generation off-road suspension. One of the members here was upgrading his Bilstein 5100 set-up that had OEM springs that were set to 1.75” lift. Before I put the springs on I measured center of the fender/wheel well, with the FL at 34.75” and FR at 35” upon completion of the swap, I measured FL at 37.5” and the FR at 37.75” so a 2.75” lift on both sides. I have also read that over 2-2.5” lift starts to create issues, which I would like to avoid.

With the context in mind, is there a consensus to leave it as is? Change the Bilstein’s settings to a reduce the lift? Or ???

I deeply appreciate everyone’s wisdom and patience.

On Prerunners I believe you only have to worry about proper alignment. If the shop can’t set it right, you need new UCA’s, or go down a notch. .
