    Evening all:

OR----you can just fill up the cooler and then pull up a chair on the porch!
Welcome Jim, good group on here with many varied interests, pics. are always welcome.

Looked out the window this morning and watched the fox come down through the yard and down the driveway, it probably has a den in the pile of stumps from when I cleared. I grabbed a squeaker toy and was messing with it, it probably thought, dang that's a really big mouse!

Getting anxious, where's Sue, sure hope she's OK.

Welcome to the thread. Lots of good people here and can answer every question, not always the right answer but it will be an answer.

Good morning. Off to a memorial service for my cousin and her husband today.

The garage clean up went well yesterday. We did more that I expected to accomplish. Everything else that needs to be done I have to do myself. Going to be a busy Saturday and Sunday.

Morning Carl, Sue is doing good. Just taking a break. She will be back. I am on a semi sabbatical (post occasionally), Mark @Devious6 , Rob @MQQSE, and probably a few others are taking a break. Have yourself a great day. And speaking of fox, here is a resident fox. Brazen bugger he is.20240818_190903.jpg

    Morning all:

Thanks for the update on Sue Ken, good to hear that she's OK.
Foxes are neat, the one I've been seeing is a grey fox and usually just a bit too far to get a pic. of, I think they are less common than a red fox.

MAYBE! The electrician called and said he will be here tomorrow, asked if he could start early because it's going to get hot, understood and scheduled for 7:00 start time.
Supposed to be 95 deg.+ on Sun. for the Pocono race, I don't think I would want to be sitting in the bleachers watching it in that heat.

Called my hunting buddy yesterday to remind him that on Mon. the Pa. hunting licenses go on sale, even though we both have lifetime licenses we still need to refresh them to get all the new tags for the year, plus we still need to buy bear and doe licenses if wanted.
He said that the nitro patches that he wears for pain are no longer effective, and that he also has 4 kidney stones, GEEZ! :(

Thank you, yes it is. Had me hooked when I was a child of the 60's (thanks mom & dad), along with always wanting to own an off-road or four-wheel-drive vehicle! I had (in the past) posted a lot of trip reports in that forum, here on TW. Links to the 8 reports of 2017-2018 are on my VivaBaja.com website: https://vivabaja.com/tacoma-travels/

    Great pix.
Finished up my war on carpenter bees this year.I hope. The last nest was in the un treated mail box post. Steel wool and some caulk put a damper on their existence

Random photos. Glad to have camped on high ground; it was dry, but a storm 60 miles away was approaching, so it was flash flood time! Just chill for a few days.

A few months ago I started training a young woman to shoot and trained her to qualify for her ccw. She had never fired a gun before. She now has her ccw. She’s the daughter of a friend of ours. She’s 38 years old and as cute and as sweet as Tupelo honey. She’s going thru divorce and living by herself. She’s a brainiac, has a doctorate in science/medical discipline and is a professor teaching graduate and doctoral students. Last year one of her former students, a real psycho started stalking her. The psycho had been in and out of mental institutions and prison. Last year after spending time in jail for stalking her he got out and within a week was seen on campus and was arrested again. He’s currently in jail but may get out the end of this year. The campus police and the local police encouraged her to get her ccw. The campus police and local police all know her and several offered to train her for ccw. One of the guys is the police weapons training officer. (I think the single ones probably want to hit on her.) Anyway I’m pretty happy and proud that I got to train her. Makes me feel good knowing she’s ready and quite capable of defending herself and I had something to do with that.
She and I went to the range today for fun. Here’s a pic of one of her targets. Not bad for a girl who had never pulled the trigger on any gun up until a couple months ago. (She’s a 9mm girl, Glock and Sig)
