Wow! 4 thousand dollars? Mine (2021) isn't anywhere near as cold as it was. My son in law even commented on it. Went to the dealer where I bought mine new (purchased outright so no loan), and they found a bad o ring that's leaking and the system was only half charged. I was told it's blowing a normal temp and I said no, everything would fog up if the door was opened and my left hand while on the wheel directly in front of the vent would start to hurt because it was so cold. It goes back in this Friday to have the ring and tube replaced then a full recharge. I'm pretty sure I had a turtle head poking out when he told me it's going to be around 900 by the time it's done. Is this normal? It seemed ridiculous that this would cost that much.

Dealership upcharge for the privilege of visiting the dealership.

My AC guy charged me 300 to find the leak, replace the o-ring, and recharge it. But that's the difference between going to a shop that only does air conditioning and a shop that belongs to a dealer franchise.

Every bit of $4k. Evaporator while in Florida a few years ago was 2k. Last year I had to do condenser and compressor which was another 2k at an independent shop in PHX. Meanwhile my 2004 Honda still blows cold like new.

    but it’s a necessity here…..

Mines not as cold as it was new (2017). I bought a can of 1234yf, but the gauge said it was full. I should probably take it in to be checked, but zooming down the freeway it's still decent. Maybe I'll trade it soon, not sure.

    none yet
Shop was busy and short handed.
Only charged me $50 for refrigerator. Level check and inspection. I do have a mouse problem that I'll check the wiring for. He can get the truck in mud July. I'm retired and my backs been out for 12 days. I think it's currently goid enough to crawl around under the dash and under the truck to see if I find any obvious damage from chewed up wires.

    80 Degrees... Oh The Humanity...

At 80 degrees I'm looking for a sweater.
We've been busting 110-116 for several days now, just getting started.
    Next week I see 98 and 99 - brrrrrrrrr

Still, a 2021 with 35,000 miles should NOT be experiencing these issues.

On the first 80 degree day I generally open the windows wide open and enjoy it. It could snow the next day.
