Hey guys I think a squirrel got into my engine bay and went to town. I need some help identifying the parts...I think the fuel supply line has a hole in it. The evap hose is scratched but I don't see any holes. It also ate the wires and part of the plug, I'm thinkin that might be an evap sensor or something?

    DCSB 4.0L V6

If anyone knows the actual part names or numbers that'd be super helpful. Thanks

Dang, that’s a lot of damage. If it was a squirrel it looks like he had borrowed a chainsaw.

The rodent ate up some of those vacuum lines ,I replaced one of mine that cracked it was easy. Toyota probably sells the pig tail for that wireing harness and you can differ it back on to the main harness.that thing did some damage!

i went into it knowing about the 4 out of 5 reviews, and with the quantity of them (3,000+ if i remeber right)
i rolled the dice on that and i had no signs of mice, and my garage and house are again a large parcel of forest
    and good environment for rodents

    worth the $30 gamble

Those rodent pouches really work my old house bordered the desert and I had traps and caught about 30 in a year .I put them in the truck after I drove up the driveway and a rat jumped out from underneath my truck. They won’t get near them.

    Kill it with fire.
Then bring fire to my house and help me kill the gophers who moved into my garden.

So a couple of nibbles on a wire loom?

OP (and others) - in rural VT the only thing I've found to keep critters out of my truck is predator urine dabbed in the wheel wells once a week or before parking for extended periods where critters are a problem. You can get it at sporting goods stores - big cat and coyote both work pretty good. I trained my dog to piss on the tires so I didn't have to use the bottled stuff. You don't need much, certainly not enough to make the truck or the A/C stink.

That’s great, except you will be doing that the rest of your life. My method is to buy a big bag of unshelled peanuts and make friends. That causes the little tree rats to think. In the end this is what happens. The squirrels quit chewing your wires, you save money on repairs and you make new friends. I had his same problem yrs ago on my 1st gen. After a costly repair and a scoped Gamo pellet gun, I could never get ahead. They came like the Taliban . They repopulate and they are smart. They know the wires have soy in them and that’s why they are attracted. Just offer them something that’s easier to get.
