You can look at the TSRP and do the math. Hybrid Sport/OR starts at 48K, with just the upgrade your at 52K, with the premium it's 56K. A premium with additional options and a TSRP of $54,574 is not a hybrid.

The dealer must have really wanted to get rid of that truck.

Whoa. And everything else must’ve been in favor. End of the month quota, etc. Or they made a mistake and had it priced wrong. That happened to us on the MDX we bought last year. Not to that level, but a few thousand less than what it should’ve been. After we signed papers with the finance guy, I brought it up and he pretty much said so.

AutoNation Toyota Gulf Freeway just south of Houston. I was pretty lucky in that there were a lot of really similar trucks within driving distance. They were actually the only dealership who would even send me a full pdf price quote that I could forward to other dealers via email, and none of the other dealers would even match. Once I knew how much my insurance company was giving me as a settlement for my old totaled truck, I started sending emails and bought a truck a few days later. Good luck! I hate car buying.

I found the following truck in the color that I want. A Non-Texas Dealer has it listed for $51k. I will see if they can do anything below $50k. Is this a decent deal on a premium package? All of the Texas trucks have a bunch of dealer-add ons that aren't of any value to me (Something about Gulf States Toyota Distributor). I would rather travel out of state at this point to get what I want.

    Asking price: $51k
    2025 TRD Sport 4x4 5ft Bed MSRP: $54,408
    TRD Sport Premium Package $8,750
    Bed Mat $200
    Spray On Bedliner $575
    Tailgate Insert: Gunmetal $89
    All-Weather Floor Liners $199

It's certainly worth a try - but if they're any distance away get a quote by email just to start the conversation and see what they're adding. Then see how negotiations go - you don't want to drive a couple hours to find out they've added a bunch of dealer-installed crap plus $1000+ in dealer / electronic filing fees.

Certainly. This would be a short flight away so I would have all of the numbers ironed out before I booked a flight. Just wanted to see if it was a decent deal. It's not set to arrive until late August so I'm wondering if they can forego the spray on bedliner to lower the price - assuming this is usually done at the dealer.
