Replacing 100A alternator this week 2009

    OEM or remanufactured? This truck will be mostly leisure with a few weekend project runs. Have AutoZ and O'Reilly near. Easy core charge back with local as opposed to EBAY, online. Just purchased from family member. Any thoughts on mileage expected? I love this truck already. Automatic 2 wheel drive, V-6

    my preference is going to be oem if possible.

    my dad went with an remanufactured autozone in his older ranger quite a while back. i don't know if they still do it, but it had a lifetime warranty. we ended up replacing it almost every 1-1.5 years for 5 years running. it didn't cost anything more for the parts due to the warranty, but was a major time-suck.

    I appreciate that. Probably $100 difference but if you are in the engine bay each year with the repeat task, I'd opt for not having to do that. Thanks for the confirmation.
