Spent a couple weeks in the Daks, GM’s, WM’s, Acadia, Old Town, Lubec. Horrible reception in the Taco. Thought it was the canoe blocking the antenna or perhaps interference from the Starlink. But took the canoe and dish off and still major dead spots. Is this normal for the area?

Didn’t have these issues last summer out west with similar gear mounted on an outback.

My only dead spots this time of year is when you drive under heavy tree canopy.
My only other dead spots are when I am driving next to a large hill blocking the West.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
I have had it go out for long stretches while in the Adirondacks as well. I’ve got a roof rack so my reception is somewhat limited to begin with but I definitely noticed it along route 73 going to the high peaks.

I have a few dead spots on 89n in NH. But like stated above mostly from trees and cuts out for a quick second. There is a way to ask XM to recal or reping your head unit. I forget how

Same with mine. Mine is a touch worse because I mounted the antenna to the top of the dash and not the roof.
