    Evening all:
Glad to hear the pup is Ok Paul, dogs can be pretty darn resilient though.

Electrician showed up on time this morning and a new 200A service is installed, $3,800 worth! Looking at some of the stuff he replaced it was definitely time to replace some of it, should be good for the duration!
He also set it up to run underground power up to the garage and estimated that that would cost around $2,800 to do that, it would need over a 160' run of wire to power up that garage.

That’s not a crazy price compared to others for a whole new panel.

Carl, nice upgrade to the panel. Panels can wear out. One of the symptoms is lights and outlets have sort of a brown out with the power. My sister had that problem even after I replaced a breaker for her. New panel solved the problem. Power in the garage is always nice.

@Pablo8 glad Tank is doing better. Yellow Jackets are not an insect to mess with.

@1buzzbait the shrimp look delicious. Next time I cook shrimp for dinner will be using this method.

Good morning. Cleaning up the garage is going well. I now have my workbench back. Getting rid of a lot of stuff. Gave away 2 u opened gallons of Dexcool to a old veteran yesterday. He needed it for his tractor. I also gave him an electric tree pruner. We talked for almost a half hour. I am meeting some nice people selling/or giving stuff away.
Today I more garage work and bringing a new smoker on line. Then clean up the old smoker and try to sell it. Should not be a problem.

Juno is 100% today. Youth! We took her to the fish market and the farmer's market and she was just fine and soaked in the attention and other dogs.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/time-offers. We went to one of my grand-niece's HS graduation parties yesterday. Sat in heavy, slow traffic for about 1/2 hour out of the 2 hour drive down. I used to drive interstates with the crazies at least once a week but since I retired it's become more like twice a year, and I have to get my brain into the right mode in order to even do it. There seem to be more genuine loonybirds these days; we must have been swerved around by a dozen or more of them on a mad dash to get to that wall of brake lights a little bit sooner. Watched one pickup with a full load of junk use the shoulder as part of their swerving maneuvers, which was a first for me. Luckily only one close call.

I'll bet a big chunk of that cost is just for the copper! Those heavy lines are pricey. When we had power trenched out to our garage I also had them run water and ethernet. The ethernet is in a conduit so I can pull other wire out if the technology ever gets beyond what our Cat6 can handle. The water line goes to a standpipe outside the garage. It's super convenient and made the cost of trenching more worthwhile.

Our camping trip was pretty successful for a maiden voyage. The trailer towed nicely but it collects some bugs. The brakes were a nice addition. One of the burner knobs on the stove locked up so I'm gonna have to figure that out. We still used it but it won't adjust and has to be turned off at the tank.
We had an issue with the truck. When we arrived at the campsite the right-rear shock had the grommets gone from the top. I made a 34 (68 round-trip) mile trip into the closest town and the O'Reilly's and Napa were useless. They didn't even stock the shocks for a Taco on the shelf. And when I said I needed some for my 2" factory lift they started passing me from one person to the next. Back in the days when they used books to look up parts we could find the type of shock ends (top stud, bottom loop) and look up all the various lengths they come in and choose from them. Now they can't be bothered. I asked them to call their "tech line" and they didn't even know the stores had one... and maybe they don't anymore.
So I came back to camp without a new shock(s) or even able to order one. I ended up putting several wraps of electrical tape around the top and since it was too tight on the bottom I wrapped a rope around that and tied it. This is a picture after coming back about a 150 miles with the trailer.

Seems like it worked okay for a temporary fix and I think I can cut the nut off (cocked by the hammering) and rethread... and use the existing shock.

@Travir auto zone are horrible at Old school look ups. It it doesn’t fit on their computer screen it might as well be on mars. When asking for a part the first thing they ask is year make and model. God forbid you go in there looking for something for tractor trailer.

It's gotten so you better have a brand and part number, and it better be current. Even the ability to cross reference seems to be disappearing. Strange how the world is evolving. So much information and very little way to correlate it.
