    Morning folks,

    Stupid question!!

Blower Motor won't work on any speed, I checked all fuses, the AC lights come on when I turn the switch on but blower does not blow. replaced resistor all fixed for 4-5 days went out again. Bad replacement part? Any thoughts?? I checked all the connectors in case the wife knocked something loose under the dash, connector looks fine not burnt.. It is 110 in the truck and I don't want to go stand on my head again if someone has another ground shattering thought on what else to check..

Did you use the square or flat blade connection resistor? and was it OEM or an ebay/Amazon knockoff?

Resistor wouldn't affect high speed though, OP says blower doesn't work on any speed.

Diagnostics can be found in the link I posted above.

high speed doesnt go through the resistor at all? interesting....pull the blower motor and look for mice/rodent beds in it and check the cabin air filter while youre there

Nope you can completely remove the resistor and high would still work.

AC light comes on, but is it solid or blinking?

It is on solid and the AC clutch is engaged,,, If I drive down the road with the blend door set to out side air there is COLD air coming out of the vent but not being pushed by the blower motor..

Mostly stock, just getting it to my liking, just happy to have had the taco and now my 4Runner.
Has the blower itself fried versus the resistor?

if it helps I have both listed in my sell section, the Dorman upgraded resistor, and multiple motors.

I don't see that you checked the heater relay? Heater relay causes current to flow to the blower as soon as switched to LO.

Yes we checked the relay first by swapping it with the one next to it which is the same, still did not work. Ended up changing the resistor which made no since to me since the unit wasn't working on high either... We had the cabin air filter out and spun the blower motor by hand with no resistance what so ever. Like I said changing the resistor worked for 5-6 days and the quit again.. Son is supposed to carve some time out for his old man this afternoon, he can stand on his head longer than I can under the dash...

How are the wires on the back of the AC control assembly? I've seen those burnt (the heavy gauge wires).

I'll have to take a look at those, never thought to look there since we changed the resistor last week and it work for those few days..

    Thanks..
