I hate everything about that hose and I've changed it probably like three times to improve the situation. You just kind of have to finagle it until it works better. Right now I'm running a 45 deg hose connector from summit that works a lot better but I'm going to ditch it and fab up a stainless pipe to replace it shortly. I would recommend that summit elbow plus a stock upper hose that you can cut to work as needed.

Thanks for the idea. I’ll order that and try it out. I still have my stock hose to modify. I was worried about this hose from the beginning. The thicker aftermarket radiator definitely doesn’t help pushing it even closer.
Ill be driving it to Golden CO from ABQ NM in a couple weeks so I need it to be running solid.

You might be able to rotate that upper hose some to change the routing angle or slide the other one back a pinch off the motor.

That hose clamp could be rotated too. The screw is hitting the coolant reservoir.

Thanks for the innput. I'll try messing with it some in the morning when the motor is cooled down.

It would be nice to be able to relocate the coolant overflow or run the hose up and over the overflow

I messed with it this morning. Maybe got a little more clearance. I’ll drive it around and see how it goes. I also ordered that pipe from summit as a back up plan last night.

That is a lot tighter than mine I think the Taco has less space there? I have a CSF rad too. Maybe consider relocating the coolant overflow? Summit has a million different alu. ones in all shapes and sizes for pretty cheap.

I’m thinking that may be my best bet. After driving some , it moved a bit closer

It stayed off the pulley today but it’s pretty close. So I ordered a universal coolant overflow to relocate it to the side of the engine bay. That should clear up plenty of space. I’ll probably make a new upper radiator hose with the tube I ordered from Summit. I’ll post of results hopefully next week after I get it done.

Where do you guys source a boost/vac signal from? I installed AEM AFR and Boost/vac gauges but the boost gauge is only reading vac, not boost. pic of my install of the boost source:

I basically just threaded the pressure sensor into the vac/boost port that also feeds to the FPR and BOV/bypass valve.

Same spot as yours. Those sensors are notoriously trash though, try bench testing it. Edit: I also have the 15psi gauge that doesn't show vac.

Are those sensors sensitive enough that they need to be a certain distance away from the source?

At what point of acceleration does your boost gauge show boost ?
I’m reading on some other forums that it’s at wot over 3k rpm

I see boost at any RPM with enough throttle to close the bypass.

That’s interesting. I definitely hear the bypass valve close and the motor builds boost but the gauge just goes to zero and doesn’t show boost. I’ll have to do some troubleshooting with it.
