    I've got a 2021 2.7 and I'm debating running 365/75 r16 vs some 255/85/ r16 pizza cutters.

My goal here is to bump the size from the 245s I'm running while limiting the strain on the front end components and powertrain. Obviously the old girl has to work harder to spin bigger tires, but in your opinion is a slightly taller and wider tire better or worse than running a tire thats basically just taller?

Extra context: I live in hurricaneville and roads flood often so the extra height from the tall-skinnies is a welcome addition, so if the difference is negligible or close to negligible I would probably lean pizza cutters.

Additionally, I don't have a front sway so if the wider tire will add stability that is also something to consider.

Wider will be a little more stable in wet conditions. I had a 99 2.7 with 33x12.5 and it rode really smooth, but that was also 15 inch rims so there was a ton of cushion

At those sizes additional wear will be negligible. The weight of said tire will have a higher chance of causing issues for you. In the 265 I'm confident you will have more options and lighter options than the 255. As I believe all 255 options are E load only where the 265 can be found in SL and all other load ratings.

The 265s are way cheaper. Like half the price.

Didn't notice any handling issues going from 32" (C load) 265/75/16 to 33" (E load) 255/80/17 pizza cutters. Gobs of ground clearance and less stress on the front end. Did I mention the gobs of ground clearance?
