    I installed the Redlines. They work perfectly and raise the hood on their own. Exactly what I was looking for.

    I have seen where people were saying the rivets are hard to install. The reason it takes more force to pop them is they are made of steel, not like common aluminium rivets.

    Tip: I used a clamp on the handle of the rivet tool. Made it a lot easier.

    Great idea never thought of that one lol.I hope you painted or greased the hole before installing your rivets to protect it for future corrosion. I did use some spray on undercoating Krown.:thumbsup:

    Yes, of course! I also touched up the small scratches on the rivets with a black paint pen. :)

    43 lbs is way too low a force for the 3rd Gen hoods. No wonder they don't work. There are many sellers on Amazon who copy our and Redline's designs, in many cases very poorly. I have a side by side comparison photo of our hardware and theirs, it's quite entertaining.
