Toyota literally built the truck we were all bitching about we wanted 1/2 way though the 3rd gen life cycle. Oh, except diesel, or a V8.

Long stroke 4 or 6 cyl engine, where the torque curve comes on at about 1800 RPM. Wait. I'm describing an AMC/Jeep 4.2 litre engine. Sorry.

I was seriously considering one but just couldn't get past the price tag. That and I don't like buying the first year of a new generation.

I'd prefer a front corner tun signal or anything that people paying attention might see so theh would know my intentions. Tundra might be the closes to accomplishing this. 3G LED sequentials at least reached to the corner not too much into the side. I like the look of the turn signals closer to the grill but that should also be an amber DRL if there isn't any other DRL bar. Toyota lamps make it on production vehicles they must be compliant, I'd just like some more front/side turn signal visibility.

For the most part yes you are right. I don't remember anyone ever asking fot a turbo 4 cylinder, I think there has been much objections to the t4 in principle, not so much in performance and driving dynamics. Turbo 4 was always the number complaint and objection to any mention of the 5G Ranger. That's Ford and ecoboost but nobody said, hay I'd take a t4 in a Tacoma because it's a Toyota.

Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, OEM Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, OEM Gentex Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass & Outside Temperature Display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. (winter), OEM All-Weather Floor Mats (summer).
I added a Gentex auto-dim mirror with outside temp gauge and compass to get an accurate outside temp reading. 2nd gens are pre-wired for them except for the remote sensor. I had to run a wire to the front grille area for it, but it was well worth the time, effort and money. It even has an ICE warning. One of the best mods I have ever done on any vehicle.

When you are out of range somewhere in the deep Backwoods of Maine, the Entune weather screens and Satellite radio stations go silent.

There are a few things this guy's got that we don't.

Mostly it's the Rat Fink beer-tap shifter that's taller than his head. that's what I want the most.
