2021 Tacoma 4x4 TRD not starting

Hello everyone
New here just had a dealership tell me that my wife’s truck was struck by lightning. They came to this conclusion because it has nine different communication errors between control modules. The engine ECU and brake control module not working. No evidence of a lightning strike and none in the area started fine when she left the house. Does this sound crazy or is it just me. The truck still turns over and all other electronics work.

 

Had the ECU of my '90 SR5 fried by a nearby lightning strike with no direct hit (or indication, though there were tree branches touching the truck). I was able to get my insurance to cover most of it, since I had comprehensive, at the time.

 

She was parked in an open parking lot. But no lightning in the area.

 

Was there evidence of damage from the lightning strike?
