Must have been fun playing with the puzzle pieces. Recipients should be happy.

I am waiting for someone who wants me to make another. For the remainder of the summer I have outside activities to focus on. Maybe later I will toy with more end-grain boards ... sooner if I am asked.

You can still get minwax paste wax and I prefer that on machinery. The sc Johnson is easier to spread on wood working though. As I've stated before I have also learned to make my own.

I think I have asked you this before but will you refresh my memory on what, if anything, you're using on the ends of your slabs that you're milling?
I'm about to mill a bunch of walnut and I'd like to do the right thing

I use anchor seal, the original formula. It works great! A 2 gallon pail will last a long time. I just use a disposable brush. If it's really nice wood I like to also do about and inch up on the flat and not just the ends.

Just make sure it doesn't have any silicone in it.

Who’s pulling the trigger first on the new M12 6” sander? I’d buy one in a minute if it was not battery powered.

I keep looking at the the 6” Festool Rotex. I don’t mind corded since it will be hooked up to the dust extractor anyway.
