It’s pretty nice up high Mikala says it’s miserable at home I’m probably going to be in the doghouse when I get back

 

Yeah, mine as well, lost my other one too a wind gust, it was an cheapo , but work great , light and magnifying glasses went with it. It’s hard not to get burnt even with sunscreen, fishing shirt works great as well.

 

Oh no so you had to get more than just a hat. I have a floppy hat but I don’t care for them but it’s time to learn. This high elevation is a little weird it is in the 70s but the sun is hot and frying the mess out of you. But it’s not uncomfortable with the lack of humidity the wind is the bad part.

Plan for a June wedding, weather should be ok.

I also have one, I'm starting to think it's the Gilligans hat of our generation. Kind of like how everyone my age wears Merrell shoes.

 

The white new balance? Yeah I have a pair of those too, I don't wear tennis shoes anymore.

 

Many people are surprised to find that the air can feel a lot hotter at very high altitudes (say >7,000') even when it is low temp. So a 70* day can feel like 90* or 95* in the sun. I am not sure what the magic number of feet in elevation is, but at a certain height, the air is "thin" enough that it allows much more of the sun's UV rays to reach your skin, hence the feeling of it being much hotter than you would expect. And in addition to the feeling of heat, you are also getting far more suntan/sunburn exposure than at low altitudes for the same reason. People that have never, or rarely traveled to the western US where there are serious elevations, can get surprised by this. Also by altitude sickness.

 

Yeah, it was real breezy, weighed nymphs is all I could cast, still had fun, trying to fit another trip in before the 4th of July

 

The upside was 110* shower

 

I have that hat and wear Merrell's also

 

I, too, have a hat very similar to that with mesh sides I wear to the beach and walking and Merrill’s are my daily shoe.

 

I also have the all terrain slippers but prefer the Tevas whenever possible.

 

Jim, how is the T4R treating you on its maiden voyage?

The ' Teva triangle'.. it's like getting branded.

 

Love it, just need a trailer to pull, tear drop little thing. Have it to sleep one, haven’t tested that yet
