    Hey
I’m a retired Marine GySgt. I purchased my 24 Tacoma SR last August. Since then I have been experiencing a near two second throttle lag when I punch it to get out into traffic. Went through Toyota Corporate with no luck. They referred me to mediation that is ongoing. I have found numerous sites with dozens of people that have the same issue. Nearly every site has recommended a Throttle Commander to fix the problem. I don’t believe that the customers should have to pay for it.

I know mine is a different gen but I found that I confuse the transmission especially if it's already going and then I punch it (e.g. onramp) and it tries to downshift too much which makes it lag. Now I more smoothly apply the throttle and it works better for me.

Gotcha. I’m at a stop from a side road waiting for traffic to clear enough in both directions. When I punch it, there’s up to a two second lag that makes it extremely dangerous with my kids in the rear seat.
