Hey guys I know this has been beat to death but just wanted a little assurance. I installed a 2 inch lift usring bilstein 5100's and a 1 inch rear lift. Im going from 265/70/17 m/t to 285/70/17. My front fender has been cut to accommodate my ARB front bumper. I'd rather not use wheel spacers but fid order a 1 inch set just in case of rubbing. You think I will be OK without major rubbing?

The further you space your wheel away from the hub, the more clearance you’ll have between your wider tire & the UCA. However, by doing that, you are also increasing the scrub radius of your wheel/tire and thereby increasing probability of it rubbing on the cab mount. It’s a robbing Peter to pay Paul kind of scenario.

I currently have 285/70/17 with 2” in the front and almost 2 in the back. Only time i rub is when im at a full turn and im going up a hill or driveway. My wheels are 0 offset tho. Idk what you’re riding on but.

The wheel you’re using is critical. If you’re using the stock wheels, you’re going to rub on the upper control arm with 285’s. You’ll need to either get new wheels with slightly more backspacing, or space out the stock wheels with spacers but if you space them out too much, you’ll rub on the fenders at full turn. Theres a fine balance sweet spot in the middle.
