If you’re not lifted it’ll probably be riding on the lower control arm. On my photo that’s with a 3” lift and as you can see it’s like an inch gap.

the stud is 1” tall on the oem bumpstops.

Hopefully it will ride nice with them resting on the lower control arms. I just measured the bolt on the Sumo springs, and they are looking to be exactly 1 5/16" in length.
My rears also touch the frame at all times and also added a small amount of lift, about 1/2" or more if I remember correctly. I have double checked that I have the right ones, not the ones for the 2nd gen. I guess that bed mat and factory tonneau cover add just enough weight to make that happen. I can tell a difference with the rears installed. It is a little bit harsh at times. I may take the cover off just to see if there is a difference in the ride and if they are still in constant contact with the frame. The only reason I haven't so far is because I'm afraid my bed mat will end up getting stolen.

My truck is stock height and I did not have to trim the bolt at all. Took a little elbow grease but I got them in without cutting.

Yes the rear will ride stiff since you don’t have a lift and that means the leaf pack is closer to the frame. On my photo you can see I have a nice 3-4” gap between the leaf pack and frame but because I have a lift. You could add a ton of more weight to the back so it’s softer or just remove them if you’re not hauling anything. They take like 5 min to install or remove in the rear anyways

fronts aren’t as stiff due to the weight of the motor. But it definitely feels a lot more stable with the front ones

I’m always finding something I’m loading the back with almost every weekend, so I just leave them on. Smooths out nicely with added weight back there. A lift like yours is on my list of things to do to the truck.
Can’t wait to get these fronts on. May end up doing it this week after I get home from work instead of waiting for the weekend. Looks like 99% of the people who put the fronts on really like them.

    Checking back in.

    front SumoSprings 100% recommended.

bottoming out is A LOT smoother now. Even on hard hits.

Definitely pricey, but you get what you pay for

Good to hear. I started to put mine on last night, but the bump stop was cross threaded from the factory. Decided to wait until this weekend when I have more time and a couple different tools to mess with.

A still notice body roll, but I do tend to take turns a little bit faster and I don’t have a sway bar.

Do these Sumo front bump stops have a small air gap or are they slightly engaged at all times? For reference stock truck, no aftermarket front bumper or any additional weight.

According to the manufacturer when I asked them, the front is supposed to make contact and it should be a squeeze to get them installed. If lifted you might ask them if they have spacers or if recommended (I think it was also mentioned as an option depending on how much of a lift). The rears should have a gap not loaded (like 1/2-1” iirc). You can add a spacer (they provided me some) if needed. I only have an add a leaf w/ stock pack so I needed 1/2” spacer.
