I’m wondering if I can add Series XM to my 2020 SR5 ‘S factory radio? If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sat radio is a separate module. You can get on on ebay or here. Need a harness to connect it to the headunit.
However, the back of your headunit does not have ports to interface the sat radio. May need to go with alternative ways.

    Can't you upgrade the system?
My 2nd gen has it, but I don't pay to use it.

Sorry….I should have stated and been more clear that I’m going for the OME look/parts. All the stuff I’ve added have been as close to OME as possible. Like my fog lights. I bought a left side OME turning arm that had fig lights switch unlike the standard SR5 no fog set up.

Thats why I suggested you upgrade the system.

If it was me, I would start asking at the dealership. Parts dept.
    Then go from there.

Here is a link to a example of the sat radio.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/176802568484.
But your radio does not have ports to hook it up.
Standard 3rg gen radios (Panasonic) have ports for it

Thanks again. Will start investigating the noted links and as another person mentioned will try the dealership and see what they have to offer.

The dealer is going to charge you an arm and a leg. I agree with the others and look for a pre-owned OEM stereo with the satellite radio module. From there all you should need would be a compatible antenna. You have a 2020 though and may need an adapter cable. I don't remember if that was the year of the change.

I've never had any luck. They always want a VIN number from me before they will even start. Its so frustrating some times, smh.

I get service upsells and offers to buy my used truck. :)

Concerning your quest: is this really worth it? Can't you get basically the same thing from the Sirius app and then just bluetooth it?

It happens. I usually find what I need here or after a quick interweb search. This forum has so much more knowledge to take advantage of. Plus the links to find the same parts but way less. It's why I keep coming back, haha.

You say your truck is a 2020 sr5 but your radio doesn't look like the 8 inch screen radio in my 2020 sr5 that does have the satellite radio. Yours looks like the 7 inch screen that comes with the SR. I thought the 2020s all came with android auto and apple car play on all trims. My SR5 has that. I dont sub to the satellite radio anymore. To me its a total waste of money when I can use android auto to access Amazon prime music and my entire CD collection that lives on my plex server via my phone.
If you want a better stereo buying something from Crutchfield with the satellite and android auto and apple car play will probably be cheaper and better in the long run than getting ripped off at the dealership.

I took the best photos possible to capture what I’m asking. I’ve notice after the help ya all provided and some basic research that my system is the plain model missing the bottom sat receiver and spider wire harness. To add and help anyone wanting to do the same to their 2020 SR5 I’ve noted that there is no option for me to simply buy a OME eBay sat receiver/spider harness. Reason: The spider harness will not fit or plug/play with my current factory head unit (see attached photo) in my original post. I did find two separate solutions. One being https://www.toyota.com/owners/warra...al/article/tacoma/2020/om04027u/ch04se020401/

and seconded, buying this aftermarket kit.
