Added Backup Camera to factory radio DOESN't WORK

I have 2014 Tacoma SR Extended Cab that was prewired for backup camera with 4 pin connector. I purchased the camera on Amazon plugged the connector on but nothing happened when I put in R (reverse).

can someone help please, what am I missing??

 

You may have bought a 12 volt aftermarket camera. You will need either a OEM camera or a 6v aftermarket camera for the OEM head unit (if that is what you have)

My 13 displays in the mirror, requires the correct mirror. Dunno about the 14.

 

Okay I'm going through the same thing... I took out my stock radio (the base Entune) and checked the back and there was nothing plugged into the camera input. I checked the wiring leading from the tailgate to the cab and it only has two wires. Apparently if it's "pre-wired", it has four wires and it leads up all the way to be plugged into the Entune radio (my wires stop at near the dash fuses -- you'll see a 4 prong plug in there). Apparently there's some splicing involved but You will want SKU: CS-14TAC, and you’ll need to select the “No, I need a full harness” option from the drop down. I haven't bought it yet because I currently don't have time to install it. I'd love it if you do though and let me know if it works!
