    Babysitting is complete for a week as the kids are going on a short vacation to visit some of my DiL's family who are visiting over in Orange Beach, AL. That means I have a week to catch up on stuff here at the house, wife’s shop, and prep for a ham radio overnight event for next weekend :facepalm: It’s going to be another bust week lol.

    Good morning guys. Hot seems to be the forecast for all of us. Heat index of 105 possible down here today with a good chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon to get it really steamy.

    Did some equipment checks yesterday while getting ready for the ham radio event this weekend. More work to do today but have a town run to do first.

    Holy moley was it a hot one yesterday, heat index was 103 when I finished mowing at the wife’s shop about 1100. It went on up to 105 a couple of hours later. It was pretty miserable even by Florida standards lol. It destabilized the atmosphere enough we had serious thunderstorms last night. About 1830 one started up that was rattling the house with thunder, continuous cloud to cloud lightning and very heavy rain for about 20 minutes. That one moved through but we had 2 or 3 more less intense storms move through until about 2130. The dog was not a fan of it.

    More mowing for me today here at the house. I mowed last Thursday or Friday but with the rain it’s already jumped up and needs it again. Time to get to it.
