I was sent this the other day on Waterfront


It moves quickly, good action. 10 episodes. It’s worth watching.

 

Clue (1985). Pluto. That was entertaining.

Precious (2009). Tubi. That was hard to watch but good cast and well made film.

Fog of War (2003). Tubi. Very good and informative documentary; interview of Robert McNamara. Won Best Documentary Oscar.

 

Waterfront, did not care for it. Outer Banks is far better, hotter chicks too.
Finished the re-watch of Stranger Things. Final season supposed to start in November. Final episode New Years Eve, might be a few hours long.

 

The Intern, Netflix. Would recommend.

 

Still watching Broadchurch

 

Waterfront- I’ll watch anything with Maria Bello in it. Writing for me was sorta “movie of the week” grade. Tropher Grace played himself? Still a good villain.

Fail Safe (1964). Tubi. A Cold War thought-provoking film.

Ran (1985). Tubi. Epic action drama. Good overall, but our protagonist was clearly played by too young an actor for the elderly role he was in.

 

Watched 3 episodes and it’s pretty intense. Definitely a different story. Thanks for the tip

Secondhand Lions (2003). Tubi. A heartwarming family film. Solid cast.

The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972). Tubi. What a kooky little film.

 

Just finished "The Better Sister" on Prime. Jessica Bile and Elizabeth Banks, what's not to like.

Just started season 1 of The Bear on Hulu

 

Trying out Waterfront. I'll see it through, but it's too polished for me, like a prime time cable tv show. People keep comparing it to Ozark but so far I don't really see the comparison, other than the whole backwoods drug dealing vibe.

 

At Eternity’s Gate (2018). Tubi. 60’s Dafoe as 30’s Van Gogh. Good docudrama film otherwise.

10 Things I Hate About You (1999). Disney. Nothing new here, but good cast and soundtrack.

 

I felt that was the only vibe.
It’s a quick one. Not sure I’ll watch another season if it’s made.

 

Wasn’t that movie supposed to be based on The Taming of the Shrew?

So yeah nothing new!

 

Yes, the Shakespearean play is adapted to a modern high school setting. Not as entertaining as Fast Times or Dazed/Confused but better than Mean Girls and Clueless in my book.

 

Finished The Bear season 3.
They stretched three episodes of entertainment into a ten episode season.
