Agree, but they don't powdercoat, which adds a bit to the total cost. Victory4x4 also shipped free, and I think a lot of companies are headed that direction.

I like the OEM rock rails for ~$990. I haven’t had the chance to go offroad yet, but they seem fine.

I heard they STILL haven’t fixed a misaligned passenger mounting hole on their sliders. Check out their website and reviews. A couple of reviews on 4G taco forum too. That would p* me off after spending that much and needing to drill a new hole/pain/etc. I was going to order RCI as well because of the discounts and look, but that’s enough to stay away for me unless they say they fixed them. I contacted their customer service and they didn’t even acknowledge it and called me crazy. I’m like look at your OWN reviews on your website lol

Do they connect to the body, or to the frame?

You will have to reach out to NW2 Offroad on IG....
They 3rd scanned my truck to make there previous gen design work on the 4th gen along with making some changes...
Theyre a local San Diego company but they ship anywhere & probably the most reasonable & best built real option...
Bolt to the frame, like other similar options...
    These are built to protect!!!!
I dont know if they have received additional units yet or not, you will have to reach out to Ray on IG....
I absolutely love them, they make the truck....

here's a vendor reviewing them in Arizona....

If you’re after true rock sliders not just steps or nerf bars you’re on the right track. We’ve got our Cali Raised LED rock sliders dialed in for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Built in the USA, laser cut, and available in DOM with options for top plates and kickouts. Fully bolt-on with no drilling required.

We designed these to actually take a hit, not just look good. If protection and clearance are your priorities, we’ve got you covered.

Have you switched powder coating companies yet?

We haven’t changed powder coat vendors it’s the same process we've been using across the board. Totally get that powder coat can be a hot topic, especially on sliders that see real trail time. Just wanted to clarify: all our sliders go through a full prep and finish cycle, which includes sandblasting, spraying, and baking. It’s not just a cosmetic layer it’s done to help these hold up long-term in the elements.

Here’s a short clip that shows exactly how we do it (starts around 0:46): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_vS72sdtgQ

We also offer them raw and in bedliner if you’re planning to wheel hard and want to touch them up yourself down the road. No offense taken at the question totally fair to ask.

I reached out to them and they don’t have any in stock nor do they plan to until…and I quote… “they deplete other model stock.”
