Yea, I’m planning on buying one when I get my Sxth Element adapter. I have a couple of them saved to a wish list.

Could you post a link to the one you bought when you get time? Thanks

I am awaiting delivery on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSZRGN2V which should arrive in 2 days, but am on a wait list for the Sxth Element adapter with a preorder expected on 7/29/2025.

There are many step versions on Amazon and they are not all the same. Some have a 300 lb limit, some 450, and I even saw a 500 lb one. The sizes of the plastic step pedel are also not all the same as much as an inch difference. After careful research I selected the one above, but I won't know how good a decision it was until I receive the unit and install it when my Sxth adapter arrives over a month from now.

This is the one I have. The SXT mounting bracket has some play in it. I didn't tighten the top three bolts until I had everything mounted up. There can be some clearance issues if you tighten the bolts first.

Thank you. I grew up fixing motocross bikes so I know all about fitment and tightening bolts. Good info. Definitely appreciated!

Here's some measurements of an OEM step. It sounds like there are several variations of aftermarket. I'd like to get one with these measurements because this one worked well for me.

This is the one I bought. Slightly different in sizing, but not enough to notice. It is arriving tomorrow.

That is the exact dimensions of the aftermarket one my wife got me back in February. Sorry I don't have a link.

I look forward to hearing about it.

Too bad. If she bought it on Amazon or Ebay, it should be pretty easy to find... hint, hint. ;)

Anyone have the spacing on the mounting bolts?

If someone were to switch to an off-road trail pipe, could possibly a 3rd gen step fit on the driver side?

Might seem silly but I’d rather the bed step on the driver side.

for what it’s worth, no rust on my 3rd gen bed step after several years here in Georgia. But we also don’t get the underbody rust common to the rustbelt either. My OEM failed with the mount snapping in two, the casting split, no corrosion. Replaced with aftermarket

thanks, I already expected the 4th gen version would not mount to the driver side. More I was curious if a 3rd gen could be modded to fit.

Perhaps when I buy a 4th gen, I’ll save the bed step from my 3rd gen and see what’s necessary.

While it seems silly, the driver’s side is closest to my garage and is what I’m used to these past nearly nine years. We are creatures of habi.,

I would like a drivers side mount, too. But I would also need an adaptor since I have the ARB tow hooks.

I caught a toe jumping out of the bed earlier this week so I need something on either side. I really don’t want to fall. Nearly did so after my life flashed before my eyes, it’s become a priority.

for my usage, I have no interest in the tow hooks so I don’t have that complication.

You mention catching a toe, that sounds scary. I was super lucky that my OEM 3g bed step mount broke as I was stepping up…. Imagine stepping down and the casting splits….

maybe there will be no easy way to mount a bed step on the driver side. We’ll see if I can mod a mount or weld something up.

If not though, it won’t be end of the world, but when you’re used to doing something a certain way for nine years, it’s a little annoying thinking you have to change for no particularly good reason.

If there was an OEM equal looking and functioning left side step, I'd trade someone my left arb recovery hook for it.
