Do I need new UCA’s after lift.

I have a 2020 Offroad, I’m planning on getting eibach stage 2 lift kit/suspension. The height is adjustable, so I can adjust it 0-2.5" Front and
0-1.5" Rear.

My question is do I need new UCA’s from doing this. If I do I was thinking about buying ksp billet UCA’s, not trying to break the bank.

Would I need anything else to do to the truck after the lift? I think it should sit some what level, but is there anything else I should do? I want to put on 33’s.

33” Skinnys fit without a lift. 255/85/16

4. 33” is a factory 4runner size. I noticed zero difference going to 33”. With 0 mods required. I noticed a difference going to 35’s. Probably why people do that.

there is one question. Do you have stock LCA setup. If so you want DJ adjustable UCA to compensate for that.

If you do not, then you don’t need adjustable to compensate for that.

 

2" and under front lift generally doesn't require aftermarket uca's to get alignment back into spec. With 33's and a 17x8.5 wheel, zero offset you'll likely have some trimming.

I haved the Eibach Stage 1. Just threw my stock UCA's back on and getting an alignment at the dealership today on 285's. I did trim the plastic a little bit before so we'll see if they rub again. I'm selling my truck so I took off the JBA's.

 

I got the 2.0 Stage 2 https://eibach.com/product/E86-82-007-01-22 and set it between 2" to 2.5" and used factory UCA and never had a handling issue or an alignment issue after years. This suspension upgrade was probably the best mod I've ever done.

 

What sizes tires do you have?

The 285's are what's going to be the culprit with mine. Fingers crossed.

 

What others said - You don't really need UCAs, even with 2" - 2.5" lift. I'm running the Eibach Stage 1 kit on the 2nd notch (2.5"-2.75" front lift) and my shop was able to get the front aligned just fine. No issues.

After ~6 months, I installed UCAs because I found a great deal. I noticed the steering feels a little better, but the added caster (from the UCA) caused my tires to rub near the body mount area. I had better tire clearance with the factory UCA.

Well, they did the alignment but forgot to print out the alignment sheet. The service rep. said he email it to me. Not holding my breath. I’ll contact him again on Monday if I don’t get it. I know it was done because now my steering wheel is off. Good news is no rubbing whatsoever. 285/70’s with stock upper control arms and Eibach stage 1 no rubbing.

 

Here’s the alignment sheet! Not too shabby! I think he set the caster like that so I didn’t rub.

 

Looks like you only got a Toe and Go

Your caster is too low which will give a wandering effect.

 

Yup. I may go to another shop that specializes in trucks to get another alignment. It's not terrible but is noticable to me. Also my steering wheels is still a little crooked which annoys the hell out of me. I'm not going back to the dealer. It's too far and inconvenient. For the time being I'm just going to do a symmetrical tie rod adjustment to get my steering wheel straight.

 

So I took the time today to fix the crooked steering wheel. Was super easy. The truck was rolling to the right when the wheel was straight so I moved the left wheel tie rod end out 1/2 turn and the right tie rod in 1/2 turn. Took a ride, perfectly straight now.
