just bought this head unit any have any experience with it my google pixel 8 pro won't connect to the android auto it just tells me to plugin an android phone even though the phone is plugged in the shop that installed it used an adapter to connect it to my factory usb port. the unit works with my dads iphone 13 it pulls apple car play right up.

Have you given permission on your phone for the headunit to talk to it? I’m not an android guy, but you probably need to “forget” the phone in the headunit, and headunit in the phone, and start the pairing process over.
