8500 miles and last week both front brake pads started shifting in the calipers. Move forward and back and they clank!. They also pop and click in 4low.

Spent an hour at the dealership. Still know resolution although as expected "heard this is normal".

    Anyone else having this issue?

My TH has 9400 miles. I have had no brake issues at all. Let us know what the dealership says.

TH brakes are the same as all hybrid brakes. Not many THs on the road, but a lot of hybrids and we haven't heard of any issues. Unless you think the brake problem is related to the TH's unique suspension.

my 3rd gen did that since new. does it do it most in parking lot maneuvers ? mine was more of a click. when going from forward to reverse or back again / just slight play in the brake pads. if i remember right this style of caliper does not have stainless shims between pad and caliper so they can move a couple thousands . maybe your pads are a little to small and tolerance stacking caused them to make more noise than normal.

    For what's it worth:

These are floating calibers, there is slight movement but no sound. Most likely the pads are sticking to the caliber, or they installed the wrong size pad/caliber combo.
They also pop and click in 4low.
Interesting, your brakes should perform the same in 2wd, 4h or 4L...

The technician is smoking mary-jane... Not normal. No sound should be coming for your brake system unless there is something wrong. Good luck.
